Thanks to everyone who supported Art Uncorked!  Your participation in our events helps the Library
Foundation fulfill its mission to ensure excellent library programs, services and facilities for all
people by developing and encouraging community investment and participation, today and tomorrow. 

Nearly 225 people gathered at the Kathryn Linnemann library on Saturday, September 15th for an intimate evening
of art, wine, food and fun in support of the St. Charles City-County Library Foundation.  This was the Foundation's fourth
year hosting Art Uncorked: An Evening of Grape Expectations which raised more than $8,500 for special programs for young
children and homebound senior citizens. Your support makes a difference for parents of pre-readers and our elderly friends,
neighbors and family members who can no longer access library resources on their own.  VIP guests joined  Dale Rollings
of Yellow Farmhouse Vineyard for a special reception prior to opening and gave an entertaining talk about favorite
books and movies based on wine. As doors opened to all guests, the Blanchette Trio brought the library to life with
spectacular music. Fifteen talented artists who shared their work while guests enjoyed foods from 11 area restaurants
and caterers paired with wines from Three Squirrels Winery, Yellow Farmhouse Vineyard and Rolling Meadows Vineyard
as well as beer from Exit 6 Brewery and O'Fallon Brewery. The evening culminated with  the highly anticipated "UNCORKED"
raffle with David Kiefer taking home the $1500 grand prize! Other raffle winners included Kim Robertson who won $500 and Lucy
